Our department offers you and your family a comprehensive consultation and radiotherapy with advanced technology. Thus, a highly precise and gentle treatment can be ensured. Our team has experienced specialists in all areas of oncology with a focus on neuro-oncology (brain tumors), pediatric oncology, gynecological tumors (breast cancer and tumors of the female pelvis), urogenital tumors (prostate cancer, bladder cancer), tumors of the head and neck area, as well as diseases of the chest and abdomen (thoracic oncology and gastrointestinal oncology). State of the art radiation therapy devices also offer treatment for benign diseases such as tennis elbow, golf elbow, arthritis as well as inflammatory and degenerative joint diseases.
Radiation oncology is a central pillar of oncological treatment. We work very closely with all oncology departments of the Klinikum rechts der Isar as well as with external referring physicans. We consider it essential to coordinate treaments in an interdisciplinary setting.
Adjunctive therapies are very important to help you during treatment in order to improve quality of life and enhance therapeutic success. These include complementary medical treatments such as traditional Chinese medicine (TCM), acupuncture, and other alternative therapies, if so desired.
